THIXOTROPIC PENETRANTS
(viscous, non-drip from vertical surfaces)
|
HM 3A 1 THIXO. Equivalent Level 3 |
HM 3 A 1Thixo is used in cases when leaks during the local fluorescent liquid penetrant inspection, carried out in production conditions are not desirable.
The application of this thixotropic penetrant for the inspection of surfaces under load (leak tightness of the valves) is more preferable than the use of Berlin blue.
Being notable for more intensive fluorescence in comparison with HM 3 A Thixo, HM 3 A 1Thixo gives clearer, easily interpretable traces.
Features:
Gelatinous penetrant
Packing:
- Cylindrical vessels by: 0,5 l, 1 l and 2,5 l

DP 55 THIXO |
Features:
Gelatinous penetrant
DP 55 - Gelatinous penetrant.
Has same detector characteristics like liquid penetrant DP 55.
The use of this penetrant is preferable during the local inspection or when the leaks are inadmissible.
The penetrant is removed by sponge wetted with water or by rags wetted with N106A.
As a rule the detection is achieved by using non-water indicator.
Packing:
- Cylindrical vessels by: 0,5 l and 2,5 l

Thixotropic blue pigment BLEU PR |
Features:
Gelatinous penetrant
Blue pigment Bleu PR is packed into cylindrical vessels. It is developed by request of EDF (State Energy Department of France) for the inspection of leak tightness of the valve surfaces (slide gates, conic pins etc).
Easy-to-handle due to its thixotropic properties (viscosity of pigment could be adjusted). High content of the dye facilitates the reading.
Could be also used as penetrant (see. DP 55 thixo).
Packing:
- Cylindrical vessels by: 0,1 l and 2,5 l.
