category: materialsINTROVOLT – this is a series of cheap continuous X-ray tube sets with water cooling for the industrial radiography, based on the glass X-ray tubes “Svetlana – Roentgen” .The voltage converter operates at high frequency of 40 kHz, which provides the bigger depth of radiographic inspection. The series consists of following commercial X-ray units:

Units consist of X-ray tube set, power module and control desk. The high voltage generator, equipped with feedback resistor provides the X-ray tube with adjustable, stabilized high voltage of constant potential. The tube cooling is arranged by closed water cooling system. The up-to-date controlling electronics guarantee the high stability and reproducibility. X-ray tube is used in light duties, which prolongs its service life.
The control desk design is based on up-to-date micro-controller and equipped with liquid crystal display. The parameters of scanning the objects under examination could be introduced directly from the keyboard or called from any of 256 programs preset by the user. The real time watch integrated allows following the time intervals between the exposures and carrying out the automatic tube burn-in which prolongs the service life of X-ray tube. Exact text messages about all errors of the operator and failures of the equipment, as well as memorization of last operation modes make the work of operators easy and comfortable.
These cheap units were developed in 1998 after the crisis when cermet tubes became inaccessible by price to most part of the buyers. Since then they are in small but stable demand. Since 2006 these units are produced by license by company “Litas”, Kazan.
